Andy Hong

Andy has been a member of the HCDL since 2016. He is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Population and Public Health at the University of British Columbia. Andy’s research focuses on promotion of health and wellbeing through data-driven research in urban and transportation policy. He was Co-PI on a joint international research, funded by the Korean Research Institute for Human Settlements, to evaluate the health impacts of rail transit in Seoul and Los Angeles. He was also PI on a competitive grant from USC to develop CitySensor, an innovative mobile environmental monitoring platform. Andy previously worked as a researcher at Korea Transport Institute and a transportation planner at Nelson/Nygaard Consulting Associates on various projects related to public transportation and bicycle planning.
